Up and with (not much) gusto. Find a banana to eat on my way to school. Take disc one of "Left of The Dial" boxset. REM, The Cure, The Jam and Dead Kennedys wake me up on my way to school. More and more I'm noticing that I've had some startling mediocre teachers over the past year. My Spanish teacher being one of them. Her "My way or the highway" method has gotten old, to the point where she will not make a compromise. Not even educational, but just with dealing with students. It gets old very fast and it's clear she only puts students into black and white groupings (not literally, but you know what I mean). Watched the South Park "SHIT" episode in AP psych. Excellent way to start of my day. Proceeded after a while to English, where my monologue which I literally spent 10 minutes on "won" me a cupcake. While I think the teacher is nice, she really doesn't expect much from her students, but I don't understand how anyone can fail that class. Some people just honestly don't care about school work. I don't care about busy work. I'd like to think there's a difference. It's getting hard to find the difference between the two.
Last period put me in a snotty mood. The girls I sit in front of just will not be quiet, and must discuss every aspect of their social lives in the completely vapid tone of the socialite. I was not that happy was the day ended. Gave Bill a ride home, and Mission of Burma, X, Husker Du and Black Flag put a smile on my face on the way home. Very cathartic. Notice that a school bus's turn signal is right in time with Wall of Voodoo's "Back in Flesh". Home, time on the internet. Relax. Take the dog out. Release that my mp3 player was not plugged in for the last 2 days, so run back in and grab the CD player (kickin it ol' school) and bust out the Daydream Nation. Home, homework, then practice. Opposite of yesterday. Skill improvement section not very good, but improvisation/transcription/play along goes smoothly. Play along to The Who, Joy Division, Pink Floyd...
Have thought about taking a beginning Guitar Craft course. Rethinking, I'm not so sure, but I at least agree with some of their points. Hopefully I can talk to Martin or a Crafty and see if I can learn a stretch or sitting technique. Replaced the broken e on the 12, now to just get it in tune.
